Three AI capabilities in eLABoraNET are in production use: the AI result import, AI dashboard generation and Ask your Dashboard. AI result import: PDF reports without retyping
When results arrive as a PDF from a partner laboratory, the AI import reads the report values and assigns them to existing samples and pending analyses. No configuration, no manual mapping: load it in, confirm, done. More under AI result import.
AI dashboard generation and Ask your Dashboard
Dashboards visualise all of your laboratory’s data, from orders and sample status to inventory, equipment and billing. You generate new dashboards with AI assistance from your laboratory’s data.
With Ask your Dashboard you query the data of your dashboard in natural language. More in the Dashboards & AI module.

On the roadmap
MCP server
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI applications to other systems. An MCP server will make eLABoraNET data and functions usable by AI assistants.
How we use AI
Certification of our AI management system to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems, is in progress. For you, this means that the development and use of our AI capabilities follow fixed rules based on this standard.
For AI processing we only use providers that host in the EU and offer zero data retention: your data is not stored after processing.
Where the AI supplies values for your results, you decide: with the AI result import you see the extracted values next to the PDF and confirm them before they are taken over.
